Ooo, A Weekly Update!

Please forgive us for getting a little behind, we had a little something going on . . .

OM Build Tiny House Weekly Update:

Good fences make good neighbors: OM volunteers are busy coming up with creative designs for a privacy fence for the planned Tiny House community on E. Johnson. All made from recycled pallet wood, of course!

In the shop: Preparation for our move, including lots of pallet-busting! House 3 gets electrical work and interior paneling. And weather permitting, final work on the roof for House 2 will be done.

Shop hours this week:
Monday 5/19: 6:00-9:00pm Shop Manager: Garrett L
Tuesday 5/20: 6:30-10pm Shop Manager: Robert B
Wednesday 5/21: 3pm-7pm Shop Manager: Pete C
Thursday 5/22: 3pm-7pm Shop Manager: Keith V
Friday 5/23: 6:30pm-10pm Shop Manager: Luca C
Sunday 5/25: 1:00pm-5:00pm Shop Manager: Keith V

Shop location: 4235 Argosy Court, Suite B (Click here for map)

Sign-up procedure:Just show up for your preferred shift, ready to work! We work with volunteers at all skill levels, so don’t hesitate to volunteer simply because you lack construction experience. The most important qualification we look for is a willingness to learn, to take instructions from the Shop Manager and to follow all shop safety procedures.
Please come ready to work, dressed in work clothes that can get dirty or smeared with paint.

  1. I fence from used pallets? At the planning meeting they talked about a professional looking fence not a artisan fence. Please get a professionally built fence, if this is what were going to see from the new neighbors were doomed! Hello East Johnson encampment…We as your neighbor experiment and deserve better.
