We have a new roof! OM Build volunteers assisted our professional roofer Michael to tear off the leaky 70-year-old asphalt roof and replace it with a new rubber-membrane roof. And Michael added some extra-heavy decking in case we ever want to install a roof garden! Below, Rob moves roof scrap out to the dumpster.

Weekends at new site, weekdays at the shop: Weekday volunteer shifts are at the Argosy Court shop, adding the final touches to get houses 2 and 3 ready for residence. Weekend workdays are at E. Johnson.

Sign-up procedure: Click here to sign up for a shift. We work with volunteers at all skill levels, so don’t hesitate to volunteer simply because you lack construction experience. The most important qualification we look for is a willingness to learn, to take instructions from the Shop Manager and to follow all shop safety procedures.
Please come ready to work, dressed in work clothes that can get dirty or smeared with paint.
