First Flowers Planted!

OM Build Tiny House Weekly Update:

First flowers planted at E. Johnson site: OM Build volunteers took the first step towards improving our new site at the corner of E. Johnson and 3rd street. Many, many more plantings to come!

At the shop: We’re taking a careful approach towards cleanup and remediation of the E. Johnson site, just to make sure our volunteers and future residents are safe from any residual contaminants. So in the meantime, all shop hours will be at the 4235 Argosy Court location on Madison’s east side. Below, volunteers Matt and Corrie pose for the camera before getting to work in House 3:

Shop hours this week:
Tuesday 6/10: 6:30-10pm Shop Manager: Robert B
Wednesday 6/11: 1pm-5:30pm Shop Manager: Keith V
Thursday 6/12: 3pm-7pm Shop Manager: Keith V
Friday 6/13: 6:30pm-10pm Shop Manager: Luca C
Sunday 6/15: 1:00pm-5:00pm Shop Manager: Keith V

Shop location: 4235 Argosy Court, Suite B (Click here for map)

Sign-up procedure: Just show up at your preferred day and time, ready to work! We work with volunteers at all skill levels, so don’t hesitate to volunteer simply because you lack construction experience. The most important qualification we look for is a willingness to learn, to take instructions from the Shop Manager and to follow all shop safety procedures.
Please come ready to work, dressed in work clothes that can get dirty or smeared with paint.

  1. Congrats, Brenda, on all your hard work. I truly hope it is just the beginning of a trend to have affordable housing in this town. Best to you! Susan
