We have a dumpster! Below, volunteer Garrett poses in front of our new dumpster, which has been filled with the remnants of a 70-year-old plaster ceiling that had suffered extensive damage due to a long-neglected leaky roof. This week, we tear off the old roof and prepare to install a new one. This is the week to volunteer, if you like getting dirty!

Have materials you’d like to donate? Please check out our wish list.

Weekends at new site, weekdays at the shop: Weekday volunteer shifts are at the Argosy Court shop, adding the final touches to get houses 2 and 3 ready for residence. Weekend workdays are at E. Johnson.

Weekday hours – Argosy Court:

Tuesday 7/15: 6:30-10pm Manager: Robert B
Wednesday 7/16: 3:pm=7pm Manager: Steve B
Thursday 7/17: 3pm-7pm Manager: Keith V

Weekend hours – E. Johnson:

Sign-up procedure: Click here to sign up for a shift. We work with volunteers at all skill levels, so don’t hesitate to volunteer simply because you lack construction experience. The most important qualification we look for is a willingness to learn, to take instructions from the Shop Manager and to follow all shop safety procedures.
Please come ready to work, dressed in work clothes that can get dirty or smeared with paint.

    1. We will have 4 bathrooms and 2 showers, a kitchen and a community room in the building with the store and workshop. The first house had a composting toilet, a sink with a gravity water system and electric appliances.
